Far From My Mountain

Thoughts From a Life in Transience

About Me

A refugee friend once translated “homesickness” as “far from my mountain” and that image has always stuck with me. In this life I have been blessed with mountains that range from coastal Kenya to West Texas to the Sudans. I like to spend time writing about them and the roads that connect them to each other.

Consistent in each place though is my love of poetry, languages, my husband and daughters, coffee, very slow running, and the beautiful mystery that is Christ.
